Message from our CEO

Dear Reader,

When I first became a member of the Aspen Valley Hospital team in September of 2004, I was extremely impressed with the expertise and commitment of the staff, and equally moved by the quality of care and comprehensiveness of services. Today, I continue to be impressed. The most meaningful statements about Aspen Valley Hospital come from our customers -- the patients and families who have had a healthcare experience at AVH. Throughout this website, you will find direct quotes from our patients -- excerpts from letters of thanks they have sent or from comments they have made on our patient surveys.

I, too, have had the "opportunity" to experience Aspen Valley Hospital's services, and like so many others, I feel compelled to comment. As both an emergency patient and an inpatient, I was struck by the warm, friendly, and compassionate care provided to me, as well as the staff's ability to create a positive experience at a time when I was extremely vulnerable and certainly not at my best. My physicians demonstrated their knowledge and concern on a daily basis, and I have a new appreciation for their medical expertise. I am sincerely grateful for the assistance I was given by doctors, nurses, lab techs, diagnostic imaging techs, and other staff in a time of need.

Whether it's an emergency affecting you or a member of your family, a simple outpatient test, surgery, or a specialty service such as orthopedics, sports medicine, pain management, obstetrics, or trauma care, I am confident that you can count on our staff to provide you with kind, competent, considerate service. Our physicians and technology are on the cutting edge, and our staff is a highly educated and committed group of professionals.

We also provide a comprehensive array of services. With the exception of just a few maladies -- such as those requiring neurosurgery and invasive cardiac procedures -- residents and visitors of the Roaring Fork Valley can receive care right here in Aspen.
